02/12/23 - Melanie Cordeiro

I have had The Pulse of Boston play at my foundation’s last four winter galas ( The Anthony F. Cordeiro Charitable Foundation Inc). They are a big hit among our guests and each year everyone who attends looks forward to them playing hits of the past and present. Paul and the entire band have become a major part of the success of our event and get everyone up and out of their seats and on the dance floor! We love having them and I can’t imagine using any other band for our special night!

03/11/22 - Elaine G.

My husband, daughter, and son-in-law have been going to Plainridge Casino over the past six years and we always go when a band is performing. Well, all I can say is that though there are some good band who have performed there, this band is THE BEST BAND we have seen. Both my husband and son-in-law are musicians and the two of them were constantly complimenting the, The song selection, the stage presence, the talent, etc., for us, was a twelve on aa scale of one to ten. We would recommend everyone, if you get the chance, to go and enjoy The Pulse Of Boston. We went back the next night as well.

The Pulse played at our daughter's wedding reception this past weekend. They rocked the house!! We were so impressed by their choices of music from slow to fast to old and new. Their play list was incredible and there was not a single moment that the dance floor was empty. Paul and his crew were amazing and the vocalists were truly talented. I would highly recommend them again. I actually have given their contact information to two of our wedding guests for their upcoming weddings.

Wow! I can’t say enough about this group. They rocked!! Some of my guests didn’t even take the time to eat dinner because they wanted to get on the dance floor! The talent was incredible and had my guests moving all night. I can personally say I was very sore the next day from dancing so hard! After a year and a half of Covid craziness, this was the first big event that most of my guests have attended. And it was pretty obvious that a lot of us needed this. The Pulse went a above and beyond and everyone was able to let loose and dance their worries away. I highly recommend! They played our ceremony and our reception and were very easy to communicate with. 10/10 without a doubt!

If anyone wants a recommendation feel free to call me. The Pulse Of Boston created a 'rip snorting party atmosphere'. The variety of the repertoire was impressive and fabulous. Thank you again.

Having been to well over 50 weddings we have seen all kinds of bands. Some good, most not so good. The Pulse Band was clearly different. The band exceeded all our expectations with their amazing sound, incredible range, and great attitude and energy. We only wish we could do it all over again.

-Patty & Darren B. -

We had our function a couple of weeks ago (May 2017) and our guests could not believe it. The band was phenomenal! They performed every type of music you could think of and the song selection was nothing less than perfect. Our guests are still raving about the band and we are sure going to have them at our next function. There may be many bands out there, but as far as we are concerned this band outshines them all.  I would wholeheartedly recommend The Pulse Of Boston to anyone wanting a successful function. Paul, thank you and the band for making it a total success. Absolutely Amazing!!!!!!!

Paul, Shaen and I just got back from Italy, so I apologize for just sending this now. Thank you SO much for making our wedding so special! I can't begin to tell you how many guests said this was the best wedding band they have ever seen. It is rare to get all the older AND younger folks out dancing to the same songs! I thought the floor would collapse :)
Talk soon for party round two in December!
All the best,
Thank you!, Kirsten

I have gotten A LOT of very positive feedback on The Pulse of Boston. They made our corporate function, last week, "the great  party it turned out to be!" Everyone absolutely loved them! I had many people mention to me that they noticed that there were more people on the dance floor than sitting, which never happens. I noticed this as well. People went on the dance floor as soon as the band started, which also never really happens. You normally have to encourage people to go out onto the dance floor. I was receiving feedback that night and I’ve also received many emails afterwards from my colleagues saying how much they loved the band. They thought they were amazing!!! If we decide to use a band again next year, we are definitely, without a doubt, going to use The pulse Of Boston again. I can't say enough how they made our corporate function a total success!

-L.G. (C.E.O.) & B.M. (Vice-President)-

Dear Paul & All the members of The Pulse Of Boston,
We wanted to sincerely thank you for a fantastic job on Friday night. Your band was incredible and you really did an unbelievable job keeping everyone up and dancing. We can't thank you enough for helping us to raise some funds for families all across Africa and to make a difference helping to live people out of poverty. Thank you for making a difference to our cause. We would love to work with you in the future, and hope that you also enjoyed the night. Many many thanks!

-Dina Abu-Jawdeh - Self Help Africa - Business Development Manager-

I just wanted to say I saw you guys perform at the Boston Harbor Hotel and you guys TORE IT UP!!!! I have never heard anyone sound more like Ray Charles, the gentleman who performed "Georgia" did him proud. And to the lady that tore down Tina's "Proud Mary" bless you that was unreal!!!!  Thank you so much for making my week. You guys are incredible. I will be back to see you in August, great job, and thank you again. You guys were amazing. - Warm Regards,

- Patricia Myers -

From Jazz, Motown, R&B, Standards, Ceremonial, and whatever else you can think of if you're looking for a band that can do it all, this is the band for you.

 - Stu Taylor, Business 1060, WBIX-AM/Boston

Paul, I just wanted tothank you guys for making my wedding hands down the best night in my life! You guys are way beyond what I had expected, and I don't think my guests have ever danced so hard in their lives (I know that was true for me since my legs are still sore!) The Pulse is absolutely amazing, and we appreciate you guys being a part of a night we will never forget. I am still hearing from my guests about how amazing The Pulse of Boston was at our wedding and how it is the best band they have ever heard. My wedding had mostly 30 something year olds and there was not one person that was not dancing the entire night. The range of music played by the Pulse was fantastic and it really made the difference in making our night one that no one will ever forget! I am beyond ecstatic with The Pulse of Boston and only wish we had booked them for a few more hours (although my legs probably couldn't have handled that).  All the best,

-Risa & Colin - Risa Chae, Vice President, Morgan Stanley

We LOVED having The Pulse of Boston play at the Picnic In The Park at Fenway! And we would love to promote your great band in some way. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND The Pulse of Boston. THANK YOU AGAIN for your generous musical donation – it was a great Picnic -- and we are happy to recommend you to any and all so consider making us a reference!

The annual Casino Royale event to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, sponsored, in part by the Boston Bruins Foundation, was held. The event included hors' d'oeuvres, live music by The Pulse Of Boston, and a silent auction offering goods such as weekend getaways and Celtics tickets. And, of course, Vegas-style gambling. The event helped to fund research and clinical trials to help find a cure for the disease, which affects 30,000 children and adults in the U.S. The Pulse Of Boston had hundreds of event goers partying and dancing all night and left the participants calling for more. This band definitely helped the event to be a huge success. Thanks to The Pulse Of Boston.

You want this band at your wedding!! They know how to rock and they had all of our guests on the dance floor all night long- everyone from our elementary aged cousins to 20-something friends to our parents, grandparents and their friends- some of whom haven't danced in 15+ years. They have such good energy and it is contagious- our guests couldn't help but feel extremely happy and want to dance. We are still hearing from guests about how amazing the band was, and people have been saying that it was the "best dance party ever". Paul and the band members are super nice to boot- they went out of their way to learn two new songs for our first dance and father/daughter dance. The band makes the party and The Pulse Of Boston is absolutely worth it!!

Best. Wedding. Band. Ever. These guys MADE our wedding. It was incredible. They have so much energy, and are such incredible musicians. Plan you're wedding around having The Pulse Of Boston, because they guarantee fun and they deliver.

My friends and I have frequented Cathay Pacific over the years and (being a musician) have checked out the bands nearly every weekend.  I have to say that we have NEVER seen the place packed to the rafters like it was last month and again this month when this band played there.  There was actually standing room only and they had everybody on the dance floor, participating and enjoying all of the music.  Whenever you guys are back, we'll be there and I highly recommend everyone to check them out.  The best band they've had there in a long, long time!

- Dave, Samantha & the rest of the crew

We frequent Cathay Pacific and other venues as well on a regular basis.  I have to say that this band has it all.  The song selection, the individual talents of the musicians, and the phenomenal vocal talents of the singers came together and made the evening fun and exciting.  Any professional musician knows that the best way to reach an audience is to be able to "read" it.  The leader of the band, Paul, has that ability and executed to perfection.  And the variety of music played fit into every genre' you can think of.  I have seen many bands in the past and I have to admit that the vocals are the best I have heard in a very, very long time.  Put it all together and you have and evening ofreal entertainment, sophistication, and just plain fun.

"That was the best wedding band ever!" was just one of the MANY compliments The Pulse Of Boston received this past weekend! You guys did an AMAZING job and no one, Ethan, myself and my Dad included, wanted you to stop playing.  Your music choices were great, all of you were very professional and I know Laurel (the manager of the Inn) was impressed. Please please please let us know where we can write a glowing review for you and the band AND if anyone ever needs a recommendation, send them our email. THANK YOU so much for an amazing wedding reception- The Pulse Of Boston was definitely the hit of the night!

-Lauren Sewell

"Hey guys, just got home from the SW Harbor wedding you played at, you helped make it awesome. Best rhythm section of any New England party band I've ever heard."

- Rogier van Bakel

Thanks for making my wedding day such a wonderful success on April 18.  Your attention to detail before and during the wedding was simply amazing.  Also, thanks for elevating our wedding to a higher plateau.  Your band played an eclectic mix of music, for all ages was very entertaining and raised the spirits of everyone in attendance. You even played for a fundraiser at no charge to support our ball room teacher, Karen Batchelder.  My children, family members and ballroom dancers are still raving about the diversity of music and energy you provided at my wedding.  Frank and I found it most meaningful that you invited us to some of your events, especially the Burlington 4th of July.  You and your wife Linda and the band have treated us like family.  Paul, you and your fellow band members are not just a wedding band for the Boyland’s, you have become our friends.   p.s. Looking forward to attending more events with The Pulse of  Boston.

Hi Paul,
I can't thank you all enough for playing at our wedding in New Hampshire on 7/23. WOW is all I can say! I am still speechless at the energy and vibe you all created for our wedding guests. Our family and friends are STILL TALKING about you guys and how amazing you were! Chris and I want to go back to our wedding just so we can hear The Pulse Of Boston again!  I can't recommend you enough to anyone who will listen. The Pulse Of Boston is THE BEST WEDDING BAND. Our photographer, Amanda Herzberger agrees with us... Please feel free to use me as a reference for anyone thinking of hiring you. I can't say enough good things about your group, we love you guys!!  Thank you again!

The Pulse Of Boston is an amazing band for any lively party! They performed at our wedding for the cocktail hour and reception, one stop shopping! The piano and guitar at the cocktail hour set the mood in the garden. The 7 piece band rocked out all night long with songs from today and from the past through our Irish roots singing Danny Boy. With 2 days notice they sang our first dance (Bruno Mars, Just the way you are), our father/daughter dance (Wings Beneath my Wings), and monther/son dance (Celine Dion).  The singers have fabulous voices and the instruments played flawlessly, the website songs don't do this band justice!  All my guests raved about the band... "where did you find them?" they asked. There were guests dancing on table tops, boogying down, and singing their hearts out.  Paul, the band leader, went out of his way to make the music a success. They are easy to work with, reliable, and professional. At the end of the night the drummer gave me his drum sticks for our memories.  Thanks to The Pulse Of Boston, we had an amazing wedding and our friends are still talking about!

The Pulse of Boston, Boston’s premier party and dance band, got the crowd moving and shaking at the Mike Lowell Foundation Casino Night benefit, Sunday night, Aug 30th. The House of Blues was turned into a Las Vegas casino for the night, with gaming tables contributed by Mohegan Sun. Red Sox players Mike Lowell, David Ortiz, Jason Varitek were spotted in the crowd. The band broke into a pulsating version of Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean,” a fitting tribute to the King of Pop. The dance floor was soon full and gyrating, and when singer Pedro Rivera called out from the stage to ask if the crowd was having fun, hands went up and bodies twirled. The audience was obviously enjoying themselves, as the nine piece band brought the energy level higher and higher. The Pulse of Boston played great renditions of popular dance classics, hip-hop, Latin music and Motown, including a scorching version of Aretha Franklin’s “RESPECT.” They are "The Best" local band we have seen in years and proved it.

The Pulse of Boston was awesome! We've gotten nothing but rave reviews about the band from many Fenway Park - Picnic in the Park attendees.  We can't thank you enough for your support of the event and the Red Sox Foundation.  Gena Borson

"All I can say is that there is no doubt this band has got it going on! Incredible is the only way to describe their performance. We all appreciated the fact that, without hesitation, they performed above and beyond! Anyone who has the chance check them out for yourself and you will be as pleased as we were."

 - Amherst College -

"I wasn't sure what to expect because we've had bands perform in the past and some were OK. This group simply tore the roof off and kept everyone on the dance floor. It was amazing and everyone is still talking about it. All I know is that they left the people wanting more and hopefully they will perform at our next event. We all sure did Feel The Pulse!"

- Dartmouth College

"We attended a business conference in Boston in May and afterwards a sponsored function at a place called The Roxy Club. I was expecting some music, probably a DJ, but was so pleased to see a live band. All I have to say is whoever got this band sure knew what they were doing. Entertaining, energetic, exciting!"

 - J. Wilder -

"I had the privilege of seeing the band live at the Hi-Hat in Providence. I've been back three times already!  The Pulse Of Boston knows how to energize and entertain better than any band I've seen in a very, very long time. I suggest everyone get out to see them live and Feel The Pulse."

- James M., Providence, Rhode Island

"Marybeth and I spent a lot of time looking at bands on the Internet, getting demo CD's, and going to live performances before we selected The Pulse Band. Whether it's R&B, top 40 hits, or classic standards you are looking for, The Pulse Band will deliver. I realize that this sounds like one of the band members wrote this up, but we loved our band."

- David and Marybeth, Dedham, Mass.

I saw the band play at Harper's Ferry this summer.....and had to rely on holding up the telephone receiver in the direction of the band to allow her to hear." "Even over the long-distance she picked the superior talent and ability. I wanted to tell you how happy we were with the band's performance at our daughter's wedding.

 -Christine G., Connecticut-

The Pulse Of Boston exceeded all of our expectations. Throughout the evening the guests were commenting on how great the band was. The Pulse Band ensured that our night was fun, rather than just a methodical wedding reception. We wish you continued success.
